After beating the Norris Titans three out of the four times, the Viking volleyball team fell short of a win during the first round at the State Tournament on Nov. 14, knocking them out of the tournament.
Both teams experienced a power struggle throughout the game. The Vikings saw a few struggles right off of the bat, but ended the first set 25-18.
After losing the next two sets 18-25 and 22-25, the Lady Vikes stepped it up. They swept the Titans off of their pedestal, winning the fourth set 25-18.
The Vikes were up 8-1 in the fifth set, but Norris came back to win the game 15-12.
“I'm proud of our team's accomplishment throughout the whole season,” senior Kenzie Hyde said. "I couldn't have asked for a better team to play with."
The Lady Vikes ended the season with a stellar record of 31-5.
