Fashion week in New York happened last week ,and everyone is talking about the new fall must haves from their favorite collections. Unlike the rich and famous, however, normal people cannot afford thousand dollar shoes or million dollar earrings.

Thankfully, for the average Joe’s, keeping up with trends is still attainable.

Jewelry can take any outfit from ordinary to extraordinary. This fall “big bling” is coming back. Brooches and heavily decorated earrings are must haves to go with fall outfits. Most people, however, cannot afford large earrings and broaches to pair with every outfit. Luckily, there is a more affordable way to achieve runway looks without draining a savings account or dipping into college funds. Forever 21 sells chandelier gem earrings for an affordable $6.90 and carry large leaf drop earrings for $4.90. For those allergic to Forever 21 earrings there are still ways to get the deal. Charlotte Russe offers glittery chandelier earrings for $6.00 that would add a special touch to any outfit.

For brooches, Bling Jewelry has multiple styles of brooches to match any outfit and any occasion and any personality. They are also cost-effective; out of 200 brooches, 90 of them were under $20 ,compared to a whopping $25,750 for a Prada brooch that was featured at New York Fashion Week.

Also Tmart online shopping, has broaches similar to the ones at the fashion show, with prices as low as 94 cents. The only possible downside to buying from places like these is the issue of metal that can cause skin irritation or earring infections because it is not pure silver as Prada offers.

Fur cuffs on coats have recently come back into style. Michael Kors and Gucci owned the runway with their fake fur sleeve cuffed jackets. Michael Kors debuted a light brown jacket with dark brown fur cuffs with a retail price of $4,495. Gucci also had a similar coat on the runway for a similar price. A more reasonably priced coat is found on House Offers website for only $175.

Not only have fur cuffs come back into style but so have furry boots. Gucci made furry slippers a glamorous accessory in the fashion show. Retail price for Gucci goat hair slippers is $1,800. Most people would consider wearing slippers a fashion no-no, especially if the slippers are very expensive. But for the brave Ebay has furry slippers of similar looks for $14.95.

High waisted pants have become a super popular new trend in the fashion world. Versace models worked gorgeous high waisted pants for every occasion. For those looking for an everyday look to flaunt curves for a reasonable price, high waisted skinny jeans are definitely the way to go. Charlotte Russe has a variety of styles and washes for $32.95. Also, they wash and wear very well too. Charlotte Russe also has colored high waisted pants for a similar price. Forever 21 also sells high waisted jeans but are made for people with long, slender legs. At Forever 21, the prices range from $12.90 to $32.90.

Plaid is also making its way back to popularity this fall. Chanel and Marc Jacobs would have their models working the runway with plaid. Chanel has multiple new plaid skirts averaging at $1,600. Marc Jacobs also had a plaid blue dress at the show costing $226.80. Depending on the color, material and style of plaid skirt, there is a large range of prices and stores that carry reasonably priced plaid skirts.

As the rush of New York fashion week fall edition comes to an end the average shoppers find ways to get the new look while also keeping in the budget. Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, Ebay and other online stores offer average price fall fashion.
