Teens Freak Out At Change

Change is hard for most teens. Whether it’s a small change or big one, they tend to go haywire over the smallest issues.

There are many different things that cause them to go ballistic. There are two different subjects that come to mind when thinking of teens freaking out over change: their phones and their breakups.

Losing a phone these days is like losing a hand. Almost every teen has his or her iPhone or smartphone attached to his or her hip no matter where they go.

When Apple came out with its new update, iOS 7, changes were made to how the phone functioned. Twitter trends, commercials and every kind of advertising was put out about the new update, causing almost every teen with an iPhone to count down the days until this anticipated renovation was released. When the day finally came, every teens face lit up like it was Christmas morning. This change didn’t go over well with most of the users. Throughout the school day, complaints could be heard in the hallways and even in the classrooms. They disliked some of the new features and how it drained their battery life of their phone. Now that everyone has settled into the new update, the complaints don’t come up as often as they did before.

Along with their phones always being by their side, dating is a common thing during the teenage years. When their significant other decides to up and leave them, the freak out happens. It doesn’t matter how long someone has been dating their loved one, every time a break up happens, they are sure to lose their composure. Statistics show that only five percent of high school relationships result in marriage, most ending in divorce. Teens are mostly likely bound to go through a breakup once or twice throughout their high school career.

Change is bound to happen throughout someone’s high school career. Teenagers take change a little too far and need to learn how to adjust. The real world is not always going to go their way, might as well learn how to change now.
