Common Problems Today’s High School Students Experience

Students are pressured by society constantly to make future decisions they’ll regret later, which creates a host of issues.
Students are expected to maintain academic responsibility in high school to prepare for college such as doing homework, applying for scholarships, and taking dual credit classes. Extracurricular activities are no exception.
Students are expected to attend and excel in the countless hours of practices, games, concerts, or performances. Society also creates struggles for students to deal with their faith as they are raised in a monotheistic environment. When students are mocked or have difficulties explaining their beliefs, some abandon their faith or hide it to avoid misery. This pressure ties in with stereotypes as cliques form.
Students have a natural tendency to want acceptance from their peers, and to gain that acceptance, they make bad decisions they’ll regret later.
Parents and students will face many conflicts regardless of the problems in high school. How the student manages to deal with these issues and bounce back will play a big role in their success later in life. Just remember that high school is only one small section of life.
