The beginning of the 2013-2014 school year marked the beginning of having Principal Ricenbaw in the Waverly School District. Ross Ricenbaw, the middle school principal, and Ryan Ricenbaw, the high school principal, are both leading the students and staff at the head of Waverly schools.

“I was excited about it. I know what he has to offer and conversations we’ve had over the years,” high school principal Ryan Ricenbaw said about having his younger brother as a colleague.

As administrators of school, it is their job to help students from one school to the next obtain all the necessary skills they need to achieve success.

“ We can talk through things, in times as brothers and there are times where we are professional, because I know him so well and trust him 100 percent,” Ryan said.

That trust helps to build their relationship in their profession.

“I have enjoyed working with Ryan. I have always respected him as a fellow educator and am happy we have the opportunity to be on the same administrative team at Waverly,” middle school principal Ross Ricenbaw said.

Ross has worked at Ralston Public Schools for seven years. He taught 8th grade math at Ralston Middle School for three years, at the high school for three years and worked in the district office for one year. He has also the seventh to twelfth grade principal at East Butler Public Schools for three years.

With prior experience and a brother to help Ross will be an excellent principal for the district to have.

“Waverly is a great school, and both Ryan and I try to do our best for the students and communities,” Ross said.
