Little Situation Turns Into Big Problem

Illinois started the morning of Jan. 22 with a call to 911 from a 14-year-old girl claiming an intruder that was attacking her younger sister.

The teen’s story was quickly changed after questioning from the police and she admitted to attacking her 11-year-old half sister.

Police found the victim in need of medical attention in an upstairs bedroom, but she later died. The teen was feeling her sister was ungrateful for all that she did for her.

The girl stabbed her sister 40 times for her “ungrateful” attitude.

Hurting a relative, or anyone, is not any way to handle a situation where one feels somebody isn’t thankful for all a person does for them.

No family should have to be put through the emotional trauma of one family member harming another. A person would always be questioning whether or not they can be trusted. There would also be the choices of what to do with the obviously unstable teen.

Staying away from the family member would be a safe option, along with talking to another person about what emotional or mental affect this behavior is taking on one.

What goes through a person’s mind to be motivated enough to hurt -- not to mention kill -- another human being is beyond me.
