PC vs Console Gaming

This topic is one of the many things I argue about with my brother regularly and repetitively. Personally I feel that both platforms have their ups and downs.
For starters, in PC gaming the mouse/keyboard combination help with easier movement if you are playing an intense shooting game. The reason being is that some PCs tend to have better processing power. Plus, PC games allow the user to control the framerate, lighting, texture and quality to anyone’s specifications. On the downside, not all computers can support that level of processing to run such games so it can occasionally crash. So one would either have to buy an expensive gaming computer (which can cost up to $1000) or buy all of the major computer parts and build one. Plus, if someone wished to buy new games for their computer, then they’d better be patient because most sites are completely overcrowded which can really impact loading time. But when they do buy games, there’s usually at a reduced price. Instead of the normal $60 one would usually pay for an X-Box game, there can be sales for close to 50% off on new ones.
On the other side of the coin, console gaming is universal. No expensive computers, no waiting for online shops to download, most of the major titles can only be found on consoles (e.g. Mario, Halo, Legend of Zelda, etc.), and almost everyone knows how to use a console remote. Other advantages are that the games are portable disks so anyone can play them anywhere, because I’m sure that no one would pack a bulky computer. And I don’t know how easy it is for most to set up a console, but it’s way easier than setting up a computer. But usually the prices for the games are set in stone for many months, which usually ranges from $50 to $60 each. And not all games support the same console. For example if someone only had an X-Box One, and they wanted the game “The Last of Us,” then they’d have to go buy a PS4 and the game which is extremely costly.
In summary, PCs are good for fast gaming, but after the cost of the gaming PC and the hundreds of games downloaded, the cost isn’t cheap. And the console is known to everyone and home to some of the best titles in gaming, but most times PC games are more available to the user than the console .
