Spring Blooms New Trends

As March slowly melts away, the spring season sets in. Spring fever is taking over throughout Waverly High School.
Shorts, sandals and skirts are blooming into style as the months go by. As winter fades away, new style trends are starting to take effect.
Weather is a huge part of deciding what outfit to wear. Taking into account what the temperature is can make or break the outfit you chose. Before extremely hot weather takes over the state, sweaters with a pair of shorts for girls is a perfect way to stay cool, but not too cool. On the flip side, jeans with a trendy tank top is the perfect way to stay cool during the spring season. For guys, bro-tanks are a huge trend lately.
Birkenstocks are trendy sandals that are expensive yet worth the empty space in your wallet. Coming in all different shades of colors, Birkenstocks can be worn with shorts, jeans, a skirt or even a dress. These strappy “Jesus shoes” are a perfect way to wrap up an outfit instead of just wearing a pair of flip flops and feeling comfy while looking stylish. Any strappy sandal can be paired with an outfit to have the same effect Birkenstocks would have.
Converse used to be the biggest fad in high schools. Converse were huge in the 1970’s. After a while, they drifted away. Over the years, seeing someone wearing Chuck Taylor's was rare. Now, they are making a comeback. Converse are seen worn on a few high schoolers’ feet. High-tops are fun and complete a comfy and laid-back look.
Plaid is hitting WHS like a freight train. Button up plaid shirts and flannels are huge right now. There’s more than one way to wear this trend. Pairing an unbuttoned plaid shirt with a tank top is a cute way to layer different clothes for girls and guys. Guys and girls are seen wearing plaid. Layering a cardigan over an unbuttoned flannel can spice up the boring cardigan and completely transform an outfit.
Another pattern to watch is tribal. Tribal print is becoming more popular in boys and girls clothing. Tribal cardigans were popular in the wintertime. Tribal shorts and tank tops can be seen in spring lines throughout stores. Tribal bro-tanks or even tribal shorts are stylish for guys to wear.
Regular patterns are also becoming more popular instead of solid colors such as red, blue or purple. From patterns to colors, different color hues can bring style to a whole new level.
Pastel colors are becoming more popular than ever before. In past trends, neon was the craze. Now, pastel pinks, blues, yellows and purples are ways to show color but in a cute way. Plain pastel colored tanks are stylish and cute. Boys can wear pastel v-neck t-shirts to look dressed up, but feel comfy at the same time.
The flowers are blooming along with the bud of new trends. Make sure to pick up your new spring styles like sandals, skirts and tanks before the season hits us all.
