It's All About Celebrities

Celebrities are constantly in the spotlight when it comes to the media. The world holds their breath as they take each step as though their lives depend upon it. When a celebrity goes out of line and does something rambunctious, it seems that society is obsessed with what will happen next.

Kids, teens and even young adults seem to look up to celebrities for everything. People don’t seem to realize that celebrities are not robots. They do indeed have brains, hearts, temptations and are not perfect despite what they are held to.

“Did you hear about that celebrity” seems to be all that comes out of anyone’s mouth anymore. The thing is, who really cares? It seems as though people have run out of things to talk about so the result is bashing celebrities or reflecting on what they’ve done wrong.

On the other side of this argument, celebrities have a standard they should set themselves at. The world is constantly watching them. Little kids look up to certain celebrities as role models. Knowing that they are a shining example to young people, they should have some restraint from doing risky things.

The perfect example of a celebrity being a star for children is Justin Bieber. From tiny girls to older teens, girls seemed to be obsessed with his voice, hair, body, looks and personality. Recently, that all went downhill. Bieber turned from perfect teen to bad boy in a matter of months. Every role model aspect of him went out the window. Little girls were crushed when they realized their role model is no longer who they thought he was. When in the spotlight, celebrities with tons of younger fans should realize what they are doing when they think about doing risky things.

The media takes a huge part in exposing celebrities and blowing their lives out of proportion. Almost every TV station seems to talk about a celebrity in one way or another. Talk shows are constantly gossiping and discussing celebrities lives and activities that they are involved in. Why don't talk shows discuss the good things people do instead of the bad?

Celebrities will always be in the spotlight. They are always going to be role models for younger kids and become the center of attention for a lot of things. People should learn how to mind their own business and stay away from the celebrity gossip.
