Leopards, monkeys and camels: OH MY!

The Lincoln Children’s Zoo has gone through an update involving a Zoofari, new animals and an all around enhanced zoo experience.

The new Zoofari is a series of educational videos set throughout the zoo. Each one is run by Larry the Cable Guy. His purpose is to give each visitor of the zoo a look at animals and nature while learning.

Not only is this Zoofari in the actual zoo, it is sent to children’s hospitals and rehabilitation centers. With these videos, children can see and learn about the zoo and animals without actually going there. Zoofari with Larry the Cable Guy is set up through a partnership through Lincoln Children’s Zoo and the Git-R-Done Foundation.

One of the most exciting parts of this update for children is the new animals added to the zoo. The new members include a baby bobcat, penguins, fennec foxes, joyes and a baby alligator. Each new animal adds a new level of excitement for kids when visiting the zoo.

The cafe located by the flamingos has been updated as well. They have added and renewed items to their menu. The cafe as a whole looks cleaner and put together much better than it used to. The cafe now has food sitting under a light warm and ready to eat when a customer walks up to order. The staff at the cafe are vibrant and ready to help any customer.

A new and improved map helps each visitor guide their way through the zoo with ease. Underneath the map available when walking into the zoo, there are bubbles with fun facts and pictures about different animals in the zoo.

The zoo is an experience that is very important in every child’s life. With these new updates and renovations, The Lincoln Children’s Zoo will be im-paw-sible to forget.
