FGL Rocks The Pinnacle
Country duo Florida Georgia Line rocked a sold out show at the Pinnacle Bank arena on Friday Feb. 13.
Opening the show, Frankie Ballard pushed through his performance despite his broken rib from a recent show mishap. Ballard’s song “Sunshine and Whiskey” is a skyrocketing hit on the country charts.
Before the main performers belted out their first song, Thomas Rhett got the crowd going. Singing his hit single “Make Me Wanna” and ending with an “Uptown Funk” cover, Rhett set the bar high for performers to come.
With the crowd already on their feet, Florida Georgia Line brought their A-game and opened the performance with a bang. Once the show was in full swing, Florida Georgia Line busted out some of their hit songs including “Sun Daze,” “Party People”, “Dirt” and “This Is How We Roll”.
After departing from the crowd to behind the stage, Florida Georgia Line returned wearing Jordan tennis shoes and a Nebraska jersey.
Surprising the crowd, the duo started singing remakes of popular songs like “All About That Bass”, “Treasure” and “We Dem Boyz”. The duo managed to perform the song with their own twist while still keeping the quality of the song.
During the song “Party People”, opening acts Rhett and Ballard returned to the stage to sing the song with Florida Georgia Line.
Ending the show with their single “Cruise”, the duo was dismissed by the roaring pleased crowd on their feet covered in confetti.
Florida Georgia Line put on one of the best performances I have experienced. Flowing from slow song to party song, they kept the crowd on their toes and killed every song they pulled out.
The future looks bright for the rising stars. If their music continues on this quality level, they will be sure to see plenty of awards in their hands and fans at their concerts.
