Skizzy Mars Releases Impressive EP

Rapper Skizzy Mars, or Miles Mills, released his new impressive EP titled ‘The Red Balloon Project’ in February. The album showed no letdowns, consisting of catchy songs throughout the playlist.

Mars is a rapper based in Manhattan who was born and raised in Harlem. He grew up listening to rock then later moved on to rappers like Kid Cudi. After releasing a few mixtapes, the rapper was brought into the rapping spotlight with his new EP.

Mars actually stopped in Omaha on his tour for the EP when the concert was took place in the Waiting Room Lounge and attracted many Waverly High School students.

“The Red Balloon Project” consists of seven songs, including “Be Lazy”, “Down” and “Time”. Each song is different but still seems to keep the same vibe. Mars has the same feel as popular rappers but with a more laid-back feel. The album is upbeat and vibrant, never losing the lively feel of each song.

Mars featured other rappers like the popular rapper G-Eazy on the song “Time”. Other featured artists include Olivver the Kid, Charlie Brand, Phoebe Ryan and QuESt.

One of best songs on the EP is “Do You There” featuring Marc E. Bassy. The song is upbeat and energetic. With the high bass level and the vibrant tones, the song keeps you excited from beginning to end.

A song not up to the standards of the others is “The City” featuring Phoebe Ryan. The beginning of the song consists of the sound of a city followed by Ryan. This song doesn’t fit the vibe Mars has created with the other songs and seems to bring it down. The song doesn’t seem to flow well and isn’t one of the best.

In my opinion, the best song Mars has put out is “Pay For You”. The song was released a while ago but still seems to be the best one yet. G-Eazy features in this song as well, making the song an all around package deal.

Mars is an up and coming star in the rap world and is steadily climbing in popularity. His new EP is one to buy or download as soon as possible as it will not disappoint.
